Nineties pop star looks 'completely different' 30 years after hit song with Fatboy Slim

A singer who had a huge hit record with Fatboy Slim in the 90s looks unrecognisable over 30 years later.

Lindy Layton, who was a member of dance music band Beats International, looks totally different to how she appeared when she performed with Fat Boy Slim for 1990 hit 'Dub Be Good To Me'.

The blonde singer performed alongside Norman Cook for the single which stayed number one in the UK singles chart for four weeks in March 1990 and became the seventh best-selling single of 1990 in the UK. It also became a huge hit across Europe in Austria, Belgium, Greece, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and West Germany.

Now, over 30 years after she recorded the hit single, she looks totally different to how she did when she became one of the hit singers of the 90s.

In her single with Fatboy Slim, Lindy rocked dark hair in a top knot style alongside 90s fashion of an oversized shirt, leggings and hi top trainers. Other singles from the 90s saw the star crop her hair to a short dark style.

Now Lindy, who is 52, is still a regular performer but looks totally different with long blonde hair and a more glam image. On her Instagram with the bio "Singer and Dj exploring new adventures in music", she regularly shows herself performing and DJing at events including Wembley Stadium as well as private parties like weddings. She also shares pictures pouting for the camera as she looks a world away from the 90s dance singer fans might have known from her singles.

Over three decades later and she's still going strong in the music industry. She is now a songwriter and composes with her writing partner Matt Kootchi, who owns and runs house label Good Lucky Recordings. Alongside this she DJs and is regularly seen behind the decks.

Aside from her hit with Fatboy Slim, she also released solo material including track 'Silly Games' which peaked at number 22 on the Official UK Top 40. The single was a hit, and further releases followed from her 1991 debut album 'Pressure'. Whilst she continues to work in music, her hit with Fatboy Slim became one of her biggest hits and was considered a global smash.

The star has also continued to perform to music fans, as she headlined alongside bands like The Jam, Example, Liberty X, Newton Faulkner, Feeder, Lindy Layton, Neville Staple and D:REAM at a festival this summer in King's Lynn.
