Former world heavyweight champion David Haye has become one of the first big-name fighters to back KSI in his grudge fight with Tommy Fury next month.
The legendary two-weight champion was heavily involved in KSI's last fight, which ended in a controversial no-decision against Joe Fournier after his knockout win was ruled to have been caused by an elbow. But Haye feels he saw enough on that night to indicate that he can pull off a major upset in Manchester on October 14.
Fury has been boxing his entire life and recently defeated the consensus No.1 YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul to continue his unbeaten start as a professional. And Haye is going against the grain of a massive favourite tag on the hometown fighter to beat KSI when they meet at the AO Arena next month.
"I think KSI will beat Tommy," Haye told Mirror Fighting ahead of this weekend's Joe Joyce vs Zhilei Zhang fight. "I think Tommy will underestimate him, he will believe as he said throughout the whole campaign that he is not a real boxer but I think he's better than he's ever been before.
"I actually think the best of JJ still has yet to be seen, the last fight with the elbow that knocked out Joe Fournier there's not much you can take from that fight but I've been assured there's plenty more to come and it will be a massive, massive upset for boxing."

And Haye reckons that the win will be an "embarrassing" one for many in the sport, as well as for Fury who is a member of the famous fighting family that includes world heavyweight champion Tyson and top contender Hughie. Having attended a number of KSI's fights and watched up close, the former fighter knows more than most about his punching power.
"He's going to embarrass a hell of a lot of people," he continued. "Tommy's a massive favourite and people think he's the real fighter whose big brother is the heavyweight champ and he's doing it since he's a kid. He comes from a fighting family so for him to lose to someone considered a YouTuber in these fights that a lot of people don't give much credibility to, it will be pretty hard for him to bounce back."
