The FTC document leak has revealed a litany of unannounced sequels and remasters coming from some of Bethesda’s most recognisable franchises.

The FTC’s document leak boo-boo is causing all sorts of private Xbox information to be revealed – not least news that Microsoft plans to release a mid-generation Xbox Series X refresh in late 2024, alongside a modular controller. On top of all the hardware revelations, though, the files also make known a roadmap of games that Bethesda intends to release between now and 2024. Almost all of them are unannounced titles that are still in development.

The list – as viewable over on this Resetera thread – breaks down a possible release date for each game by year and features a mixture of both remasters, brand new entries into existing series and DLC packs. Arguably of the most interest is mention of Dishonored 3, the third mainline entry into Arkane’s series of stealth-focused immersive sims set in the fictional city of Dunwall. Arkane’s last game, Redfall, released to poor reviews earlier this year and has struggled to maintain a player count ever since.

Remasters for both The Elder Scrolls 4: oblivion and Fallout 3 – both Bethesda RPGs released during the PS3 and Xbox 360 era – are also said to be in the works, alongside an untitled “licensed IP game” that sits separately from the already announced Indiana Jones tie-in and a sequel to Ghostwire: Tokyo. The latter remained a PS5 exclusive for its first year, due to a deal made prior to Microsoft’s Bethesda acquisition, but it has since released on Xbox Series X|S.

Unannounced Bethesda games – full list

The leaked file stretches back to Bethesda’s 2020 release calendar, and there are games planned to release that didn’t which indicate this was likely produced prior to the Covid-19 pandemic – and certainly prior to it elected to purchase Activision. With that in mind, here’s the full list of planned Bethesda game releases from 2022 up until 2024:

Obviously the above is outdated by today’s standards, seeing as Machine Games’ Indiana Jones title is yet to release, as is the yet-to-be announced Oblivion remaster. Even still, while things and release plans can always change, the above leaked list seems like a solid indication of the Bethesda games we can expect to see on Xbox over the next few years or so.

The FTC since revealed in a tweet that it doesn't think it's to blame for the leak, where the organisation's director for office affairs Douglas Farrar claimed it "was not responsible for uploading Microsoft's plans for its games and consoles to the court website" and while suggesting that the error was in Microsoft's corner. Either way, it's as a result of this submitting of evidence for the Microsoft Activision deal that Bethesda's forthcoming slate has been strongly hinted at.
