NFL star Kareem Jackson is set to avoid a suspension despite landing two dirty hits in two weeks that left both of his opponents concussed.
Denver Broncos safety Jackson was ejected during a 35-33 defeat to the Washington Commanders last Sunday following a brutal hit on Logan Thomas. Commanders tight end Thomas completed a 4-yard touchdown pass, before being taken out by Jackson.
Following the head-on-head clash, Thomas was left on the floor at Empower Field at Mile High, and was later forced to be withdrawn. Unsurprisingly, his Commanders teammates were outraged by the hit, and immediately confronted the guilty Broncos star.
After being separated, Jackson was ejected by match officials in what turned out to be a costly error for the Denver franchise. The Broncos began the Week 2 clash well, and stormed into a commanding 14-3 lead during the first quarter.
In the second quarter, the Washington franchise were able to reduce the deficit by seven, which was aided by the ejection of Jackson. And from there the visiting team took control of the game, dominating in the third and fourth quarter to secure their second win of the campaign.

It has been a controversial start to the season for Jackson, who has left two of his opponents concussed after also clashing with Las Vegas Raiders receiver Jakobi Meyers in Week 1. Despite back-to-back illegal hits, the Broncos man is set to avoid further sanctioning, according to ESPN.
A week earlier, the 35-year-old was punished for his hit on Meyers after the NFL imposed a 15-yard penalty as well as a £11,965 ($14,819) fine. On the back of his head-on hit in Week 1, Jackson sent his best wishes to the injured Meyers post-match.
Per the Denver Post, he said: "I just want to say I hope he's [Meyers] alright. Obviously we don't play this game to hurt guys. It's a tough sport we play... Unfortunately stuff like that happens. Definitely sending my thoughts and prayers to him."
No doubt keen to put his recent controversies behind him, Jackson and his Broncos teammates will return to action against the Miami Dolphins in Week 3.
