Fans of Bloodborne and other FromSoftware games will want to pay close attention to when Lies of P unlocks to play on PC and consoles.
Lies of P promises to be your next Soulslike fix, primed to test your mettle during challenging one-on-one encounters and punishing boss fights in a year where a proper Dark Souls game appears absent. We absolutely loved it in our review, calling it a “brutal take on the Pinocchio fairy tale”. Fortunately, players on PC, PlayStation and Xbox don’t have to wait too long to get their hands on the game and find this out for themselves since the Lies of P release time is very close – especially for Xbox Game Pass members.
Based on Carlo Collodi’s novel, The Adventures of Pinocchio, players should expect to face off against many a killer puppet and grossly deranged animatronic as they navigate the fallen fictional European city of Krat. Lies of P was quick to draw comparisons with FromSoftware’s own Bloodborne in the lead up to release, but it aims to be slightly different thanks to the inclusion of the Weapon Assembly system that lets players craft their own personal tools of destruction.

Lies of P release time and release date
The official Lies of P release date is Tuesday, September 19, following a brief period of early access where players who pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition got to play a generous four days prior – similarly to how Mortal Kombat 1 handled things. Players on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC can start preloading the game now if they pre-ordered the standard edition digitally. The file size for Lies of P comes in at a more than respectable 36GB, meaning it shouldn’t take too long to install.

Xbox and PC – Lies of P release time
- 4pm BST on Monday, September 18
- 8am PDT on Monday, September 18
- 11am EDT on Monday, September 18
PlayStation – Lies of P release time
- 12am BST on Tuesday, September 19
- 9pm PDT on Monday, September 18
- 12am EDT on Tuesday, September 19
PlayStation players will have to wait a bit longer than their Xbox and PC counterparts to the extent that in most territories it’ll be possible to play the day before the official Lies of P release date of Tuesday, September 19. Don’t forget to that if you're an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, you will be able to jump into the game for no extra charge as part of your subscription.
