Jacqueline Jossa may have left Albert Square five years ago but when she posted a picture of her on a night out with her former co-star, she left EastEnders fans in a state of excitement.
Jacqueline, 30, who left the BBC soap in 2018 after playing the character of Lauren Branning for ten years, posted a snap of her and Natalie Cassidy enjoying a rarely seen night out on the tiles. And in the caption, the former soap star, who is married to reality TV personality Dan Osborne, wrote:“Bumped into cousin Sonia @natcass1 Adore you!"
Alongside her caption she added a white heart emoji. And Natalie, who has played the role of Sonia Fowler since 1993 reciprocated the sentiment when she wrote:"Love You" alongside a red heart emoji. Predictably, EastEnders fans wasted no time in posting comments to share their joy.
One person wrote: “Lovely to see you two together” with two heart eye emojis. Another said: “Love this photo. You guys rock and love your makeup [heart eyes emoji] xx.” A third said: “Aww love this [blue heart emoji].” After filming her exit scenes which aired in 2018, the mum of two returned to Walford last year as her character attended the funeral of Dot Cotton. The iconic actress June Brown, who played Dot Cotton, died in April last year at the age of 95.
Speaking about her character's return, Jacqueline said: "Coming back to EastEnders for Dot’s funeral was a no-brainer and it was a real honour to be invited back. I had a lot of fun but, of course, it was bittersweet. It was amazing to be back, but hard to be filming this storyline. June is a legend and I miss her very much.”
