The Best FIFA awards takes place on Monday with some of the most illustrious stars in world football in contention for a number of awards.

The best men’s and women’s players of 2022 will be announced in a glitzy ceremony in French capital Paris, whilst the Puskas award is also up for grabs. Polish striker Robert Lewandowski has won the men's award in each of the last two years and could potentially become the first player to claim the trophy on three occasions.

The World Cup - won by Argentina in Qatar - could though go a long way in deciding the destination of some of the awards with Lionel Messi and boss Lionel Scaloni among the frontrunners. Elsewhere, Alexia Putellas could potentially become the first player to win the best women’s award for the second time.

With all of that being said, here is everything you need to know ahead of the awards and how you can tune in:

When is The Best FIFA Awards 2023?

The Best FIFA Awards is scheduled to begin at 8pm GMT on Monday, February 27 in Paris.

How to watch

The awards ceremony will not be televised but FIFA will be streaming it live on their website and their YouTube channel.
