KSI explains why Anthony Joshua would beat Tyson Fury in grudge fight

KSI has predicted Anthony Joshua will "annihilate" Tyson Fury if their heavyweight grudge fight ever takes place.

Domestic rivals Joshua and Fury have been expected to fight for almost a decade but are yet to meet in the ring. The heavyweight stars did come close to fighting in Saudi Arabia two years ago, but Fury was ordered to fight Deontay Wilder for the third time as Joshua went on to lose his heavyweight belts against Oleksandr Usyk.

KSI and Joshua are good friends with the pair both being raised in Watford and the YouTube boxer is confident that 'AJ' could become the first man to beat Fury. KSI thinks Fury would try his best to pick at Joshua from range, but the former two-time heavyweight champion would overpower his bitter rival.

"There is a lot of bad blood with that," KSI told Misfits Boxing. "Honestly I think that fight would bring out the scary, evil AJ that is just spiteful. He'd come in like 'Finally, I get to put my hands on you' and just annihilate, dominate. I think it would be a good fight, Fury would try and do his thing, keep him at range to try and press him but I see AJ edging it.

KSI is preparing to fight Fury's brother Tommy as they headline the Misfits Boxing 'Prime Card' on October 14 in Manchester. The YouTuber added: "It's always cool seeing AJ, he seems in good spirits after his very nice KO against [Robert] Helenius. He's just one of the boys, we were chilling and chatting whilst doing a bit of promo for DAZN for the Tommy Fury fight."

Joshua has been linked to a fight against Deontay Wilder in Saudi Arabia at the end of the year but talks have come to a halt in recent weeks. Matchroom Boxing boss Eddie Hearn kept talks of a fight between 'AJ' and Fury alive whilst discussing Joshua's next move with Mirror Fighting.

"Now things have changed a little bit in that landscape," Hearn said. "I don't know what they're going to want to do. Are they going to the two fights on the same night, which is also now being discussed? Do they want to do Usyk against Fury or do they want to do Fury vs AJ? I don't know, but sooner or later we will get to a spot in time where we need to move on in December/January."
