After *NSYNC's surprise appearance at the Video Music Awards, one person might not have been so happy to see them.

In a nineteen-second video making its rounds on Twitter, a POV VMA Backstage camera caught what looks like a tense interaction between Megan Thee Stallion and Justin Timberlake. The video shows someone helping fix Megan's hair and applying spray to it. Then you see Megan raise her hand and holding up her index finger as she talked to someone off screen. The camera pans and you can see members of the boyband as they were walking by, and it appeared that she was talking to Justin who smiled and leaned in to say something.

She seemed to get annoyed, shaking her head and her hand as she talked animatedly. Then the rapper looks away and somewhat rolls her eyes and Twitter believed she looked annoyed and was "arguing". It then looked like *NSYNC member Joey Fatone said something as well.

The clip had Twitter users thinking Justin said something to upset the Savage rapper. "Get him for Janet, Meg," one person tweeted, referencing the Super Bowl performance when a wardrobe malfunction caused Justin to accidentally reveal Janet Jackson's breast on television. Another said: "Going to side with [Megan]." The video didn't have sound, so it's unsure what exactly was said.

But apparently, it wasn't the row it looked like it was. According to Variety, a source backstage said there was "zero fight". This source supposedly witnessed the interaction, saying: "It was very cute." Reportedly, He said: "It's so nice to meet you,' and she said, 'No, no this don't count, this don't count. We gotta meet proper.'"

No official comment has been made from either Megan's team or Justin's, but it has Twitter buzzing. The VMAs have been all anyone's talking about on social media, ever since it's first presenters. Early in the show, host Nicki Minaj surprised everyone by announcing that the first presenters were all five members of the boyband *NSYNC. This was the first time they've come together in ten years. They announced the award for Best Pop Video, which went to Taylor Swift for her music video for her song Anti-Hero.

Taylor was visibly fangirling as the Bye Bye Bye band took the stage, and was even more excited when she took the stage to accept her award. The boyband members each gave her a friendship bracelet, something that her fans started doing for each other at her recent Eras tour.
