Lily Allen has made light of her first failed marriage while confronting a social media user who asked her if she would ever consider dating someone that had no money.
On Thursday, the 38-year-old singer marked her third anniversary of marriage to Stranger Things actor David Harbour - who she began dating in 2019 and tied-the-knot with in a Las Vegas ceremony in 2020. Lily - who is the daughter of actor Keith Allen and film producer Alison Owen - is said to be worth £3.2 million herself, while 48-year-old David is said to be worth £4.8 million.
But while Lily and David have a combined fortune heading towards £10 million, it seems the Smile singer was the main breadwinner during her first marriage. Back in 2011, the singer tied-the-knot with builder and decorator, Sam Cooper. The couple welcomed two daughters together, but they split in 2015 and divorced in 2018.
Taking to Instagram on her wedding anniversary with David, Lily shared a throwback photo from their happy day - alongside a tongue-in-cheek statement. The snap showed Lily laughing with joy while wearing a smart, buttoned Dior dress with a dramatic veil, while David was standing in front of her in a sharp suit.

However, one curious follower had a question about her choice in men. The Instagram user asked: “Would you have married a guy with no money?” And Lily replied to the comment, stating: “Sure. I did in 2011, sadly it didn’t work out though.”
Lily’s eventful love life was laid out in full in her 2018 autobiography My Thoughts Exactly in which she confessed to having a fling with Oasis rocker Liam Gallagher when he was married to All Saints singer Nicole Appleton. While other headline-grabbing details of the book included the fact she had same-sex encounters with sex worker while married to Sam.

She said on the Jonathan Ross show: "It was the first time I'd been on this dating app. I was scrolling through and landed on David's profile and pressed accept. I didn't know who he was. I thought he was just like a sexy policeman from a reality TV show because he was wearing a policeman's uniform. It was a still from Stranger Things. I'd never seen Stranger Things.
"I don't even know what I was looking for. It was just something to do on holiday, swiping, it's a bit of fun. When I met him I didn’t think it was going to go anywhere. He was here filming Black Widow. He was only going to be here for a couple of months. And then it did [go somewhere]."
