Meet the identical twins who have worn matching outfits everyday for 23 years
Two sisters have revealed that they've been wearing matching outfits for the past 23 years. The twin siblings have been together for most days over the last two decades, living next door to each other, having the same colour schemes in their homes, and matching outfits when they go out.
Rosey Coles and Kathy Heffernan, both 69, love to dress alike and have been doing so for a long time. The pair have the same pair of glasses and pyjamas and enjoy days out and exploring taking bus rides, going on walks, and shopping. They even worked together for 11 years at their cleaning business.
The sisters love wearing dresses and jeans (SWNS.com)Both women are lovers of 50s clothing loving 50s style dresses and petticoat skirts. Kathy said: "We have so many clothes. We always go to the shop and see something we like. We spent three hours in John Lewis the other day. I spent £600 on three dresses." Raving about their bursting full wardrobes, Kathy said: "We wear lots of long dresses and jeans. We have the same coats. The wardrobe is packed tight."
The pair say that people struggle to tell them apart when they go out wearing the same outfit but both said they love the compliments they get on their looks. Kathy, a mum-of-one, from Aldershot, Hampshire, said: "It's like being married to someone for 70 years. People see us and ask us to take a photograph.

We have the same pyjamas, but we don't always wear those at the same time." Rosey, a mum-of-two, added: "When we go out, we wear the same things. For the last 23 years, we've been together most days."
'I don't want children staying up late at weekends - I really need adult time'
The sisters said they grew up wearing similar clothes but stopped matching as much once their lives started to grow apart with marriage and having kids. Both women separated from their partners in 2000 and have lived close to one another since then and that's how the dressing identically started again.

Kathy said: "We have exactly the same homes with the same layout and the same grey colour scheme at the moment." Not having enough of each other in their lives already, the pair also took a recent cruise to France and Spain together in May 2023 – and they packed the same clothes into their suitcase.
Whilst some days vary when they stay indoors, the twins plan on wearing matching outfits for the rest of their lives and there won't be many outfit repeaters either. Kathy said: "We don't like to wear something twice for an evening outfit. We can't help but buy something new."
