Dillon Danis threatens to use MMA move to choke out Logan Paul in boxing fight

Dillon Danis has threatened to use a guillotine choke to render Logan Paul unconscious in their boxing fight.
Bellator MMA star Danis makes his boxing debut on October 14 when he takes on Paul at the AO Arena in Manchester. The fight takes place on the Misfits Boxing 'Prime Card' as Paul's former opponent turned business partner KSI will also be in action against Love Island star Tommy Fury, who beat Paul's brother Jake in February.
Danis is a multiple-time Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion who is known for his submission skills, with both of his two wins in MMA coming by first round submission. Paul, a standout wrestler in college, has admitted that Danis would have the upper hand in a potential MMA match because of his grappling advantage.

While showing off his grappling skills in a livestream with influencer Adin Ross, Danis threatened to choke out Paul in their fight. "That's the thing with Logan, if we're boxing and he ducks his head at all, I'm going to choke him out," he said. Ross then asked if the move would be legal, with Danis replying: "No, but I might just put him to sleep and say f*** it. There's a lot of things I can do."

Danis claimed that Paul has agreed to fight him in MMA if their fight next month goes to plan and doubled down with his submission threat by telling reporters including Mirror Fighting last month: "If I get one on him, I'm putting him to sleep. I told him that in the face-to-face, we agreed to an MMA match and shook hands on it. He said that if I show up for the boxing fight, he will fight me in MMA.
When asked if there is anything in his fight contract that outlines him not using MMA moves, Danis said: "No, I'm surprised they didn't [put it in]." UFC legend Nate Diaz showed off his MMA moves last month against Logan's brother Jake by putting him in a guillotine choke in the final round of their boxing fight.
Diaz let go of the choke and joked after the fight that he 'won' because he could have choked Jake unconscious if he wanted to. Jake admitted the choke took him by surprise, stating: "He f****ng choked me, he was actually choking me. No, he actually was. I was like 'This was crazy'. I didn't think he was going to stop but he had it in, obviously I wasn't going to try and defend it."
