Mum who refused to be in photos because of her weight shares how she lost 2.5st

A mother-of-two who once shied away from the camera due to her size has attributed her remarkable weight loss success to one simple strategy.
Cherry Redman, who had struggled with her size for years, finally found the key to shedding almost two-and-a-half stone. The 46-year-old mother had seen her weight increase over the years due to large portions and finishing off her children's meals.
However, she decided to take control of her health and joined the Tameside-based slimming group Beeweighed in February this year. The turning point came when she started tracking her daily calorie intake using a calorie-counting app. This simple change led to noticeable results within weeks as the pounds began to melt away.
Not only did Redman start feeling more confident about her appearance, but she also experienced significant health improvements. The Northwich, Cheshire resident reported that the persistent pain in her knees had disappeared. So far, she has successfully gone from weighing 12st 8lbs to a healthier 10st 2lbs.

"I was self-conscious about my weight," admitted Redman. "I was asked to take 'before and after' pictures, but I couldn't find one. I always took pictures I was never in them. It's the little things, really. I'm more energetic. My knees hurt when I was a bit bigger, I could feel [the pain] the next day, especially if I had exercised."

Her newfound confidence has also transformed her shopping experiences. "Before, I would be living in leggings and a baggy jumper. Now when I go into a shop, I don't mind picking up stuff and trying it on." Cherry has successfully slimmed down from a dress size 16 to a 12. Her secret? Regular exercise, meticulous portion control, and diligent logging of her calorie intake on a calorie-counting app.
Reflecting on her previous dietary habits, Cherry confessed: "I felt like I ate okay, but I ate too much. I would go back for seconds, that type of thing." She also admitted to finishing her children's leftovers and indulging in snacks such as crisps, biscuits, salted crackers, and chocolate. "I calorie count and log absolutely everything that I eat on the app to see how many calories I have left for that day. I try and put everything in so I know what I've had," she explained about her new regimen.
Here's a glimpse into Cherry's diet before and after her weight loss journey:
