McDonald's new menu shake-up drops - with return of old faves and Monopoly

McDonald's fans are in for a treat, as the fast food chain has revealed a major menu update - with the return of two fan-favourites. Maccies changes its menu every six weeks to make way for new additions, which inevitably means we also have to wave goodbye to some items to make way for them.
This time, McDonald's UK has announced the return of the Big Tasty and Big Tasty with bacon - but you'll have to be quick as they are returning for six weeks only. The 100% beef patty with bacon, cheese, onions, juicy tomatoes and a unique smoky flavoured sauce, is a huge fan-favourite, but isn't available on the menu all year round.

As of 11am today, September 6, the Big Tasty will be joined by Mozzarella Dippers, which offer a warm and gooey mozzarella centre encased in a golden crispy coating, paired with a tango tomato dip. Then you can top it all off with a Cadbury Flake Chocolate McFlurry or a Cadbury Flake Raspberry McFlurry. Also new to the menu is the Caramel Waffle Latte - a smooth latte blended with a caramel waffle flavour syrup and topped with delicious caramel cream and caramel sugar dusting.

This means McDonald's fans have already waved goodbye to the items that joined the menu on August 2 - including the BBQ Quarter Pounder and Cheesy Garlic Bites. They've also had to say goodbye to the Double Chocolate Pie, which was launched as a limited edition menu item back in June.
But that's not all. The wait is officially over, as McDonald's Monopoly is also returning today. Dropping at the same time as the new foodie lineup hits restaurants, Maccies fans can collect game pieces and win free items. The fast food chain has already revealed the prizes this time round - and it's very exciting.

If you manage to collect the right game pieces, you could be in with a chance of winning a staggering £100,000. You could also win McDonald's Gold Cards, a brand new MINI electric car, and even a TUI holiday worth £2,000 - and all you need to do is buy menu items to collect the tokens.
In order to take part, customers have to purchase a qualifying menu item - such as fries, wraps, drinks or a McFlurry - to collect game pieces. Each game piece represents roads and train stations, just like the classic board game. Once you collect a set, you win a prize - the rarer that set is (so if fewer pieces are made) the better the giveaway will be.
