Businesses have experienced a number of unprecedented challenges over the past few years, from a global pandemic to ongoing financial difficulties caused by Brexit, the war in Ukraine, and the rising costs of living and doing business.

As part of its mission to help businesses learn, grow and thrive, Barclays has created the Business Health Pledge, outlining its commitment to helping business customers and local communities navigate difficult times and build resilience for the future.

To honour this pledge, Barclays offers businesses a comprehensive package of support through its online Business Health Hub - which includes a suite of free resources and insights to grow your company - as well as access to its dedicated Business Relationship Managers, local information events and more.

Digital resources to help businesses grow

At the heart of Barclays’ targeted support for businesses is its Business Health Hub.

Here, you can find a host of free digital resources at your fingertips, including a series of expert-led video masterclasses, designed to help businesses build their knowledge across a range of subjects, tackle current issues, and prepare for the future.

Uploaded once or twice a month, these accessible masterclasses are hosted by members of the Barclays Business Banking team and feature expert guest speakers from across disciplines and departments.

They cover a wide range of areas and potential concerns for businesses including financial planning and management, international expansion, recruiting talent, implementing sustainability, and managing the impact of rising costs.

Most importantly, all masterclass topics are determined by Barclays’ business customers, ensuring that they are relevant and addressing the needs of businesses.

The Business Health Hub is also home to a wealth of digital tools and how tos, from practical advice regarding the cost of doing business from industry experts, to a handy resilience guide showing how other businesses are tackling ongoing issues and developments, such as ESG priorities, a changed office culture, and recruitment challenges.

Or, take advantage of the Business Health Checklist to help your business scale up and thrive.

Content includes Barclays’ wide-ranging support and advice on growth planning, cybersecurity and workplace wellness; as well as signposts to external support via the government, trade associations and other entities.

Access bespoke advice at local events

Barclays understands that conversations are key when it comes to building and growing your business. That’s why it is committed to engaging directly with its customers through a series of in-person events across the UK.

Businesses can access face-to-face guidance on a range of topics at local clinics and masterclasses, hosted by Barclays’ experienced Business Relationship Managers and specialist connections.

If you can’t make it there in person, there are also live virtual panels and events to dial into and learn from - find and sign up here for a virtual or in-person event near you.

What’s more, Barclays has a catalogue of event replays available to watch back online for free.
