OnlyFans star Katie Price has revealed a tragic reason why she halted her fiction and non-fiction career, as the star revealed she would feel like a 'traitor' if she continued.

The star, who has put her name to many books over the years including her own autobiographies, made the confession that she didn't feel like she could continue with writing after her ghostwriter and close friend Rebecca Farnworth died. The writer and journalist died in 2016 aged 49 after a battle with cancer, and helped Katie to write fourteen books over the years including nine novels and five autobiographies.

Speaking on her podcast The Katie Price Show alongside sister Sophie, Katie was asked a question from a fan who wanted to know: "Katie would you ever bring out another fiction book - Angel was my favourite".

Whilst Katie promised there would be more books, she replied: "There will be more books, 100%, but unfortunately, Rebecca, who I used to do all my novels with, she died. So that set me back doing the books because I felt like I was being a traitor doing it with someone else." Sister Sophie added: "Yeah it was sad."

In 2012 Katie explained how she worked with ghostwriter Rebecca, as she told BBC Radio 4's Women's Hour: "I feel sorry for Rebecca. She's been with me about 10 or 11 years. I speak in the dictaphone. You've definitely got to have a talent to sit there and write the book. I mean she's amazing at it. So, I come up with the plot, and then we go through each chapter together. She fills out the bits. She's just amazing how she does it. She really is good."

Rebecca's death was confirmed in 2016 by her agent Maggie Hanbury as she said: "Rebecca Farnworth had a rare talent. She wrote three romantic novels under her own name but perhaps ironically achieved greater fame - because it was an open secret - ghostwriting Katie Price's books. Vibrant and full of life, Rebecca was huge fun to work with, always ready with a quip to set the room alight with laughter. She created memorable authentic characters that seemed to have a life of their own."

Rebecca's first book for Katie was her 2004 autobiography Being Jordan, which Maggie explained: "The book broke a mould, creating a new genre that went on to spawn countless other celebrity memoirs. At every turn, Rebecca was totally professional, with a journalist's ability to get to the heart of the matter, always delivering on time a near-faultless manuscript. Her natural empathy, humour and zest for life shone through in her work."
