Coronation Street fans have been left fearing for Jenny Connor after she made a major Stephen Reid blunder on Friday's episode.
Jenny has recently pursued a relationship with Stephen unaware of the fact he murdered her fiancé Leo Thompkins, the latter's father Teddy and Rufus Donahue. Stephen has also attempted to kill Elaine Metcalfe, secretly spiked Carla Connor with LSD and even forged a paternity letter for his niece Sarah Barlow — to name a few of his evil schemes!
During the latest episode, Jenny and Stephen paraded their romance for all to see on the cobbles, which was witnessed by Elaine's son Tim Metcalfe. During their stroll, Jenny told Stephen they should go on holiday as she's now "flushed" after selling the Rovers Return Inn.
However, the new couple were soon interrupted by a livid Tim who warned Jenny to be careful, pointing out that Stephen might take out a life insurance policy on her - like he did to his mother. Yet Jenny, who thinks Stephen is completely innocent, laughed off the allegations while Stephen warned him to back off.
Later in the episode, Tim told Stephen that his mother is selling her flat and wants him out to which the cobbles killer was left furious about being made homeless. Soap watchers now think that thanks to Jenny letting slip she's loaded due to the pub and a desperate Stephen being made homeless, he could now target the pub landlady in a bid to get cash.
Corrie's Sue Cleaver says I'm A Celebrity stint helped her to push boundariesTaking to social media, one person said: "I don't know what Jenny sees in Stephen but I know what he sees in her. She tells him she's flush now she's sold the pub! Could be a fatal error!", a different account put: "#Corrie so now Jenny is quids in all Stephen can see is £££", another follower wrote: "Pray for Jenny, Stephen wants to take her on holiday... #Corrie" while another viewer added: "Jenny don’t do it, he’s only after your money #Corrie."
Fans were only left further worried when later on in the episode, an oblivious Jenny suggested Stephen move into the B&B room at the Rovers Return Inn, unaware that she will be living with a serial killer.
