Donny van de Beek could still seal a Manchester United exit once deadline day is over with Galatasaray among those keen.

The Turkish transfer window remains open for more than a fortnight which means the Istanbul-based outfit can continue negotiating for the Dutchman, who is out of favour in Manchester. Galatasaray have already seen a £1m loan offer for Van de Beek rejected, as per the Athletic.

Dialogue remains open between the two clubs with the Turkish side is no rush to complete a deal given their window remains open until September 15. Van de Beek is available for potential suitors with Erik ten Hag only using him sporadically last season despite the pair's history together in Amsterdam.

The versatile playmaker has endured a torrid time since moving to Old Trafford from Ajax in 2020. Despite scoring on his debut minutes have been at a premium and he's previously headed out on loan in search of regular football, which he may have to do once more.

Last term Van de Beek was limited to just two Premier League starts and the addition of Mason Mount will further push him down the midfield pecking order. Earlier this summer the player himself gave no guarantees about where he would be playing in the coming months.

He said: "For now, it’s hard to say where my future is. I’ve come back now after injury and I’m fit now, so I play my first minutes after training for a few weeks, so I try to push as hard as possible. Every day [something] can happen, so it’s hard to say now where my future will be. In football you never know, especially with me, so let’s see what happens."

Ten Hag last season appeared to be against a temporary exit for the Dutchman, but could change that stance. He said: "He has to make that step up. I don’t think a loan [makes] sense. It’s either he fights [for] himself and proves himself, in this atmosphere in this environment, or he goes."

United are poised to retain the services of Scott McTominay, another man who is very much a squad player in Manchester. The midfielder was a favourite under previous regimes but has been dislodged by the likes of Casemiro and has been linked with a move away.

Clubs in England and abroad expressed an interest but the Scot is set to remain with United's £40m asking price proving an issue. Ten Hag has pushed for the signing of Sofyan Amrabat, but even if they get a deal over the line, they will still keep hold of McTominay.
