I tried the coffee that secured £50K from Dragon's Den star Deborah Meadan
I'm tired a lot, to the point I once had a ten hour 'nap' and completely missed a night out with a friend who had travelled across the country. So it's safe to say when it comes to getting a better night's sleep or a way to make the most of your day outside of of naps, I'm always willing to throw my hat in the ring.
London Nootropics is a type of coffee with a twist. In February 2022, the brand appeared on BBC One’s Dragons’ Den and got successful offers from two Dragons, Deborah Meaden and Sara Davies.
We decided to see what the fuss is behind the dragon backed brand. There are three different coffees available, Flow, Zen and Mojo and they each aim to do something different.
Flow is made for motivation, mental clarity and focus. It's said to help with brain fog, memory and reducing procrastination. In terms of adaptogenic ingredients it uses Lions Mane mushroom & Rhodiola.
Zen is designed with peace of mind at the heart of it, aiming to combat stress, tension and irritability. It uses CBD and Ashwagandha.
Kate Middleton swears by £19.99 rosehip oil that helps 'reduce wrinkles & scars'Mojo is made with strength, endurance and vitality in mind. If you need a boost of stamina then this seems to be the one to go for as it uses Cordyceps mushroom & Siberian Ginseng.
I got my hands on the £15 selection box which contains four of each of the coffees available. My favourite is without a doubt Flow although I was really impressed with how much better I felt I could breathe after using Mojo.
The coffee itself is quite bitter but I think it's important to note that I tend to go for caramel lattes when drinking coffee so I do have quite the sweet tooth. When I drink coffee I typically feel quite warm as the caffeine works through my system.
I do typically have more energy but I find myself getting distracted quite easily so I don't always reach for coffee on work days. But with Flow I found it was much easier to feel motivated and fly through my to-do list.
I have been known to get distracted mid-sentence and take numerous tangents in conversations with the original point completely disappearing from my memory. But after drinking this coffee I had no problem staying on track and focusing intently - and this lasted for the entire day.
I didn't need a nap, deal with a caffeine crash or feel like I needed a second cup of coffee. I was really impressed.
If you're after a coffee that helps keep you focused then I strongly recommend these, although you can find Lions Mane in a number of other drinks such as Dirtea. Use code Mirror15 for 15% off London Nootropics.
