Rylan pulls out of Radio 2 show after mum's fall - with replacement announced
Rylan Clark has confirmed his departure from his BBC Radio 2 show on Saturday to care for his mother following her surgery after a 'bad fall' on holiday.
The 34-year-old took to social media to confirm his 'priority at the moment is my mum', and announced that Scott Mills would be his replacement for the upcoming episode.
The accident, which occurred whilst Rylan and his mother, Linda, were on holiday, has left the broadcaster extremely concerned for the 71-year-old. "She's not in the best health with her other conditions and this has made it more complicated," he said in a heartfelt update on Twitter. Rylan also revealed that Linda would be having surgery 'out here', which is likely to only add more stress to the ordeal.
The former Big Brother star has been inundated with supportive messages since sharing the upsetting news, many of which hail from his fellow celeb chums.
"Mate! Sorry to hear that. Nightmare. I hope she has a speedy recovery," John Matthews wrote, while Karl Yung said, "Hope she and you are okay and sending big hugs to you both."
