We all know that feeling when you take a break from treating yourself to a regular manicure and suddenly, you have to live with lifeless, dry, brittle and soft nails that need a little TLC. Sadly, applying nail polish constantly isn't the best or most natural way of treating your nails - although it is the prettiest - and giving your hands a break from time to time, allowing them to breathe, will do them the world of good. Even more so if you treat them as you would dry and sad-looking skin - by slathering it in oil or cream.

And thankfully, the beauty world has produced some pretty great concoctions to help fight signs of dry and damaged cuticles and nails - with or without polish on. And one, which has received thousands of reviews on Amazon and has been raved about on TikTok, is Creative Nail Design's Solar Oil Nail and Cuticle Conditioner.

Lucky for you, while it usually retails at £20, it's currently on sale on Amazon for £7.25 (64% off), and with over 26,000 ratings on the shopping site, it sounds like a bargain that needs taking advantage of having "wowwed" customers for making a "fabulous improvement".

The Solar Oil's blend of jojoba oil, almond seed and Vitamin E is said to help with signs of ageing and really moisturise your hands and skin around the nails to keep them soft and supple - and it seems to work as 73% of Amazon shoppers have given it five stars.

"I originally bought a bottle of this years ago when I took a break from gel nails. I recently took another break and bought a larger bottle and have been so impressed," said one reviewer, "It smells amazing (marzipan) and is easy to apply. It rubs in nicely and soaks into my cuticles really well. It’s made my nails feel stronger, my cuticles are nice and hydrated and my nail technician is happy! Now part of my nightly routine."

Another wrote: "I had used a nail strengthening type of nail polish which dried out my nails and caused them to split. I have been applying this oil for some weeks now and my nails are starting to look look moisturised and shiny again."

A third shopper commented: "My cuticles are now gorgeous. I swear this a miracle product; I kid you not."

If you're not quite sure why it's recommended to use cuticle oil to support our nail health, Healthline explains: "Applying cuticle oil can increase the circulation around your nails, stimulating nail growth. It can also help to protect your nail and cuticle against trauma.

"The oil can also help improve the health and appearance of your nail. If you paint your nails, cuticle oil can also protect your polish for a lasting shine."

If you've missed this £7 deal or you're not a fan of Creative Nail Design products, fear not because it isn't the only brand Amazon are offering to help your nails. OPI ProSpa Nail Cuticle Oil is going for £11.50 on Amazon and you can get Mylee Cuticle Oil (the brand loved by Lioness Katie Zelem) for just under a tenner, too.

Beauty Pie's Cuticle Therapy has also just had a price reduction making it £7.50 rather than £18 and if you're after something a bit more upmarket, according to Hello! Magazine, Rochelle Humes' nail artist swears by Augustinus Bader The Face Oil, which retails at £70 for 10ml.
