Aston Villa fans will be keeping a keen eye on the Europa Conference League group stage draw as Unai Emery's side return to European competition.
The Conference League was established in 2020/21 and is UEFA's third-tier competition behind the Champions League and the Europa League. It's been a big success since its inception and can now count Roma and West Ham as its previous winners.
West Ham ended their 43-year wait for major silverware when they beat Fiorentina 2-1 in a pulsating 2022/23 final in which Jarrod Bowen grabbed a euphoric 90th-minute winner for David Moyes' side. The game was monumental for the Hammers for several reasons as not only was it their first major trophy since 1980 but it also marked Declan Rice's final game for West Ham before he left to join Arsenal in the summer.
Villa fans will have good reason to be excited ahead of the tournament as with manager Emery's incredible European record they will be one of the clear favourites to win the tournament and lift a major trophy this season. When is the Europa Conference League draw?
The Europa Conference League draw will be held at the Grimaldi Forum, Monaco on Friday, September 1 and it will get under way at 1:30pm UK time.

You can watch the draw live on UEFA.com as well as their official YouTube channel. The draw will also be broadcast live on TNT Sports.

The Europa Conference League group stage starts in September, shortly after the first international break of the season which runs from September 4-12.

Matchday 6: December 14
Where is the Europa Conference League final in 2024?
The Agia Sofia Stadium in Athens will host the 2024 final, which will be played on May 29, 2024.
