The wait is almost over with Apple finally confirming the date for its next big launch event. The US technology giant has just sent out invites to the world's media with the grand unveiling taking place on Tuesday, September 12 at the firm's Apple Park HQ in Cupertino California.

Although there's no official news on what will be shown off during the keynote it looks almost certain that a range of new iPhones will be the star of the show.

Apple often hints at what is to come with this year's invite saying Wonderlust which could hint at a stunning new design that replaces the current stainless steel edges with titanium.

If Apple follows tradition we could see an iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max unveiled during the announcement with some rumours also suggesting an iPhone 15 Ultra could be added to the lineup in 2023.

Well find out full details on September 12 but ahead of the launch, there are already plenty of rumours about what will be included.

Perhaps the biggest change is that Apple is expected to ditch the lightning port on the iPhone 15 in favour of USB-C charging.

The screen could also see slimmer bezels and there could be a blisteringly quick A17 Bionic processor tucked under the hood which will make this the quickest iPhone ever launched.

Other changes could include longer battery life, improvements to the rear camera and faster refilling thanks to that new port.

Of course, Apple's keynote won't just be about iPhones with other devices such as a new Apple Watch and Apple Watch Ultra also likely to be uncovered.

During the event, we should also find out when iOS 17 will be released to iPhones across the globe and we might hear more about a release date for the Vision Pro headset.

These gadget goggles were unveiled during Apple's WWDC event in June with the company confirming that they will go on sale next year.

Mirror Online will be bringing you all the news live from Apple's Wonderlust event so watch this space for all the news.
