Peter Andre has congratulated his daughter Princess for "working hard" in her GCSEs after she admittedly didn't receive the grades she'd hoped for.
The Mysterious Girl singer drove the 16-year-old to her school on Thursday to collect her exam results, after reassuring her that he'd "be proud no matter what." Princess, who is the daughter of Peter and ex Katie Price, was one of more than 600,000 students to take the state exams in May.
"It was such a special moment to share with my daughter," he revealed on Monday. "I told her I’d be proud of her no matter what."
Peter, 50, added that he saw Princess "working very hard" ahead of her exams, which to him, "is the most important thing." The musician also said that his eldest daughter "seemed pleased with her results," despite failing to "get everything she wanted."
"She did amazingly well and I am really proud of her," he continued. Princess took to Instagram Live with her dad on Thursday to share her exam results with the public, much to the delight of her 648k followers. After opening the envelope on camera, the VIP teenager revealed that she had failed to pass all of her subjects.
Katie Price and Danielle Lloyd 'bury the hatchet' after documentary feud"Basically, the way it works, a Four is a pass and then below a 4 is a fail and a 9 is the highest you can get," she explained. "I got a 3 in Business, a 3 in drama, a 5 in English, 6 in Fashion, 4 in Music and a 3 in Geography and Maths. It's not bad, I'm annoyed at Maths because I have to re-take it."
Peter was on standby to offer words of support, reassuring his daughter that she had "got really close" to passing. Princess then expressed frustration over resitting Maths, admitting that she "hates" the numerical subject. The retake exams for GCSEs typically take place in November or January, giving pupils at least two months to study before attempting the test again.
"Honestly, as long as she [Princess] puts in 100% for effort I don't mind how she does and I wouldn’t be upset if she got low marks," Peter wrote in his OK! column earlier this year. "She will be going to college after her exams and she is going to be studying beauty therapy, which is brilliant. I've already taken her for her open day so she's getting really excited about it."
After opening up her results, Princess was driven to McDonald's for a celebratory meal with her doting dad. The milestone comes a few months after Katie Price hit headlines in June for claiming her daughter will never "be a scientist", before adding that Peter is far more "strict" with their kids when it comes to schoolwork.
