If you have your eyes on the newest Galaxy Z Flip5, but can't justify splashing more than £1,000 on this handset, there is a fix. That's because Samsung's newest deal gives you at least £200 off this flagship foldable ...as long as you hand in a broken phone.

Yes, the South Korean brand will give you at least £200 off your new purchase no matter what condition your current phone is in. Even if the phone has a cracked screen, won't turn on, and has been sat in a drawer collecting dust. Samsung will take it – and you'll get £200 off your next phone!

It's all thanks to a supercharged trade-in offer on the Galaxy Z Flip5, which would cut the price to at least £849.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 only launched earlier this month, so you'll be getting the latest foldable tech from Samsung. During the two-week preorder period, Samsung had a number of discounts and deals available. But the guaranteed £200 trade-in discount is bigger than any previous offer we've seen. So, how can you claim the offer?

All you have to do is head to the Galaxy Z Flip5 page and scroll down to the trade-in section. This is where Samsung lists all of the trade-in bounties available, with the latest phones unlocking discounts of up to £560 off the Galaxy Z Flip5.

At time of writing, the biggest discount comes from trading-in either the S23 Ultra or Galaxy Z Fold 4G, this would slash the price of the model to £489. But there's no fuss from Samsung when it comes to the model you hand in.

In fact, even those who hand over a rival Apple model can still find themselves walking away with a discount of more than £500, but of course that requires a handset less than a year old - like the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

The iPhone 7, iPhone 8 and SE will get you the smallest £200 price drop along with models from Google, Huawei, and OnePlus. If you don't see the brand of your handset on the list just click 'Guaranteed Trade-In Any Device' - it really is that simple.

Samsung really does mean guaranteed too, you'll be able to send-in a broken phone from any brand and any year.

Once you have bought your new Galaxy Z Flip 5 (with the trade-in discount applied straight away) you have seven days from purchase to send in your phone – oh, and Samsung pay for the packaging and posting too!

Apple and Google also offer trade-in services which'll give shoppers money-off their next device.
