Duran Duran guitarist Andy Taylor has shared a health update after undergoing his second round of cancer treatment. The 62-year-old guitarist was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer in 2018 and went public with his sad news last year when his band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

At the time, the Come Undone musicians announced his diagnosis in a letter that was read out at the 2022 ceremony. Andy wasn't able to attend due to his ill health. Since then, the guitarist has been sharing updates about his health with his social media followers.

Taking to Instagram, Andy shared a snap of himself at the hospital. He rocked a cosy navy hoodie and black sunglasses as he went through treatment. "In for my second round of cancer treatment," he said. "Everything is going so very well. I’m so deeply touched by everyone’s well wishes & love, I’m in good hands & just want to thank everyone for their kindness & strength, as a family we are beginning to feel whole again."

Fans immediately rushed to the comment to react to the news, with one person saying: "This is the BEST news! You hung in there, you let music and love guide you! Enjoy every moment," and another posting: "I am so very happy you are fighting so hard, Andy. I hope this treatment does the trick. Sending prayers and positive thoughts to you!!"

"Tough times create strong man. You are invincible," a fan said while one follower commented: "You are an example of great strength, Andy. A great example for all of us. We love you so much and will always support you. Remember this." It comes a few days after he opened up about the medication that is extending his life expectancy.

During an interview onBBCBreakfast, Andy told the hosts: “It can’t see healthy cells, and I had my first round of it about – I’m in next week for another round – six weeks ago and it kills stage four cancer in your bones. It kills stage four cancer in your bones. And so what it's effectively done is extend my life for five years." He also explained to the BBC that he was approached by a scientist who offered him "a nuclear medicine, Lutetium-177, which is targeted so it only sees cancer cells" after he went public with his diagnosis a couple of years ago.
