Kylian Mbappe would be prepared to spend a season in the Premier League on loan before securing his dream move to Real Madrid.

The French superstar is out in the cold at Paris Saint-Germain after announcing he was leaving next summer at the end of his two year contract. PSG believed they had the striker tied up until 2025 but the extra year on his mega deal was an option for Mbappe not the club – one which he informed them he wasn’t taking up.

That left the French club looking to cash in on the 24-year-old and were infuriated when Mbappe refused to speak to Saudi Arabia Pro League side Al-Hilal had made a world record £259 million bid.

Now with the Mbappe situation having become toxic PSG would be prepared to allow him to leave on loan for a substantial fee. That has alerted a number of Premier League clubs including Chelsea, Arsenal and despite denials from Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool.

Mbappe’s representatives which includes his Liverpool supporting mother Fayza Lamari have held discreet discussions with a selection of Premier League club intermediaries.

They did hold talks with Liverpool over a move back in 2017, but opted to join PSG instead. "We talked a little bit, but not too much," Mbappe revealed in an interview with the Telegraph last year.

Mirror Football is now on Threads!

"We talked a little bit. I talked to Liverpool because it's the favourite club of my mum, my mum loves Liverpool. I don't know why, you will have to ask her! It's a good club and we met them five years ago. When I was in Monaco I met them. It's a big club."

She has been told by her son that although he is desperate to join Real Madrid, who could be reported by PSG for an alleged illegal approach, he doesn’t want to spend this season rotting away in the PSG shadows.

He is a big fan of English football and believes playing in the Premier League would be an enjoyable experience.
