Ashes hero Stuart Broad may have knocked the Aussies for six but he’ll be bowled over by the contents of his bank account.
The newly retired cricket star has bagged a fortune from his on-field exploits, according to accounts for Companies House. Fast-bowler Broad, 37 – who nicked the last two wickets to secure an Ashes draw at the Oval on Monday – has raked in cash from sponsorship and media gigs.
Papers show that his firm, Stuart Broad Ltd, has a bottom line of £2.38million in cash and assets, up £319,000 on 2021. England’s highest Ashes wicket-taker – who also managed to hit his last ball in Test match cricket for six – has made money from deals with brands such as Adidas, Red Bull and Hardy’s.

The sportsman – who has baby girl Annabella with Saturdays star Mollie King, 36 – is not the only England star to rake in big earnings. Captain Ben Stokes, 31, is a director of BAS Promotions Ltd, which has £2.1m in money and assets.
He has also previously bagged deals to be the face of beer brand London Pilsner and the Indian whiskey Royal Stag. Batting hero Joe Root, 31, has plenty of cash to stump up, too. The Yorkshireman’s firm JE Root Ltd, run with wife Carrie, 32, has £1.72m in capital and reserves.

And wicket keeper Jonny Bairstow, 33, is also quids in. His Blue Vision Enterprises company is worth £827k. Meanwhile Broad might be about to step up on another pitch, as he’s rumoured to be a contestant on the next series of Strictly.
