Meghan Markle is 'relaxed and in control' as she 'leaves her UK days behind her'
Meghan Markle is "relaxed and in control" as she is "leaving her UK days behind her", a fashion expert has claimed.
The Duchess of Sussex joined forces with her husband Prince Harry to release a joint video on their Archewell Foundation site. In the clip, the couple congratulated the winners of the Responsible Tech Youth Power Fund, of which their Archewell Foundation was a founding member.
In the new video, Meghan wore a beige turtleneck dress, designed by sustainable brand Bleusalt. She also wore a gold bracelet and matching earrings.
Fashion expert Michelle Ramsay has said Meghan's outfit choice shows she is sticking to her values and gives a nod to her new life in America after leaving the Royal Family. Harry and Meghan moved to Montecito, California, after stepping back from The Firm in 2020.
Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, the fashion expert and consultant said: "Meghan has long become known for her effortless chic style and minimalist aesthetic, and this look does not disappoint. Her perfect pairing of gold jewellery and polished hair and makeup serve up understated glam, enhancing her ever natural beauty.
Kate Middleton swears by £19.99 rosehip oil that helps 'reduce wrinkles & scars'"What's most striking is Meghan looks relaxed with her outfit choice, in control, she owns it, something that in the past was not always the case. If we feel comfortable in our clothes, we act differently.
"Wearing Malibu based brand Bluesalt, Meghan stays true to her values around sustainability and gives a nod to a made in the USA brand, perhaps leaving her UK days behind her."
Michelle also suggested Meghan is trying to move away from fast fashion. She told us: "Wearing a sleeveless turtle neck and midi skirt co-ord in camel, Meghan’s look is the epitome of quiet luxury, a movement favouring investment pieces over fast fashion and the large logos seen in seasons over the past few years."
The winners of the Responsible Tech Youth Power Fund have been awarded a total of $2 million to support their efforts in building a better online world, with Harry and Meghan congratulating them via phone call. The couple sat side-by-side as they offered kind words to the winners.
In the video, the couple also gave a rare insight into their children's lives. "Thank you for doing everything that you do," Harry said into the phone to one of the recipients, with Meghan nodding beside him.
"The Duke then added: "Our kids especially, are incredibly grateful," before his wife interrupted him by saying: "They don't know it yet," while pointing with her finger. Harry then repeated what his wife said before she added: "But they will."
