Jeremy Clarkson frantically warned his fans that some of his cider bottles might explode in a panicked tweet.

The Clarkson's Farm star took to Twitter to explain what happened and told fans to be careful when opening the bottles of his Hawkstone cider.

"F**k f**k f**k f**k f**k f**k," he tweeted. "There’s been a massive cock up and as a result, there’s a very slim chance, some of our Hawkstone CIDER bottles might, there’s no easy way of saying this, explode.

"If the cap has the code L3160, open it underwater, pour it away and get in touch for a refund. [email protected] Really sorry about this but on the upside, the beer is fine and still delicious.

"As is the cider, in bottles that are unaffected. Which is almost all of them."

The Diddly Squat Farm social media page explained the bottles are exploding due to 'over fermenting'. The drink isn't affected and customers were asked to take a photo of the caps and contact Hawkstone to get a refund.

It added: "If you have already drunk the cider please don't worry - apologies from us all."

The former Top Gear host and the Cotswold Brew Co launched the range of drinks in 2021.

Fans rushed to the comment section to ask him about the faulty batches.

"Like this? I had one last night and it was amazing, was looking forward to this one tonight," one user questioned along with a photo of the cap.

Jeremy replied: "Open it while wearing a Hurt Locker suit."

"The cider is delicious really taste the apple I won’t let a little explosive cider put me off," another joked.

The presenter responded: "Most cider you drink is made from concentrate. Ours is made with actual apples."

It comes several months after it was revealed Jeremy trademarked his own brand of teetotal drinks called Diddly Fresh, in a nod to his Diddly Squat farm.

The TV presenter’s partner Lisa Hogan, 50, has invested in a brewer of low-alcohol booze to flog at their Cotswolds farm shop near Chadlington, Oxon.

Jezza’s support for non-alcoholic tipples is quite a turnaround. During lockdown, the former Top Gear host revealed he was the unhealthiest he had ever been after "drinking himself silly".

And in 2009 he told fans: "I drink a lot. On holiday I would have two beers before lunch, a bottle of rosé with it, a banana daiquiri for pudding, a snooze in the afternoon, four rum punches before dinner, another bottle of wine with that, then pina coladas to get in the mood for more sleeping."

Jeremy’s application to the UK’s Intellectual Property Office covers low-alcohol and non-alcoholic beer and wine.
