NFL quarterbacks react to Madden 24 ratings as Levis accused of lying

Will Levis was accused of lying when he reacted to his statistics in the upcoming Madden 24 computer game.

EA Sports are set to release the player ratings in full on July 17, but the franchise put together a video of a few rookie quarterbacks reacting to some of their statistics. With all the QBs hooked up to a lie detector, Levis was told his “throw on the run” attribute - a 79.

In an attempt to rise above his rating, Levis responds by saying: "Can't expect much. Got to be real about it". However, the room immediately glows red to indicate he is lying. "I'm lying now?" he questions incuriously.

Second-overall pick of the NFL Draft C.J. Stroud also featured in the clip and was handed a throwing power of 89. "It's all right. I got more but it's cool." Again the room glows red and Stroud is asked if he does indeed have more. "I know I do," he responds. He is later given an overall rating of 73, much to his disgust.

Third pick Anthony Richardson, of the Indianapolis Colts, is informed his jumping is 93. His delighted reaction glows green. Green Bay Packers player Sean Clifford is told on the run he is a 77, to which he replies: "Get ready to improve. Always room to grow." Unfortunately for Clifford the room turns rouge.

Levis was drafted by the Tennessee Titans late in the second round this year after he was thought to be a first-round prospect. And much like his rating suggests, Levis has some work to do. But was encouraged after receiving advice from none other than the NFL great Tom Brady.

Like Levis, the former quarterback was not selected until the sixth round of the 2000 draft, the 199th overall pick. Admitting he was overlooked multiple times by every other franchise, Brady used it as motivation and is now regarded by many as the greatest NFL player of all time.

"Waiting around on draft day, it sucks. I know the feeling, it's not easy, but I promise you one thing," the seven-time Super Bowl winner told the youungster in a message played to him by Fanatics. "It's gonna make everything that happens from this point on so much sweeter."

During a lunch with Levis, as well as top picks Bryce Young, CJ Stroud and Anthony Richardson, Brady gave some more words of wisdom to the next generation of NFL players. "Going in the second round, in the end, that's not really that big of a deal," Brady said during a Fanatics lunch with the four draftees. "Going first overall, in the end, it's not a big deal.

"It's great; you got an opportunity. You're probably gonna be paid more than anyone for a time period. But I was drafted 199. I just outlasted everybody. There's another me back there. So, how do I keep my edge on everybody? I had to keep working. I didn't go, 'Hey, I'm good. Right? I won three Super Bowls. I'm good.'"
