The BBC has revealed its top-earning stars across the financial year, with Gary Lineker topping the list for the sixth year in a row.

The Match of the Day host took home £1.35million, while Zoe Ball places second on the rich list with a salary of £980,000 making her the highest-paid radio star.

The findings were published today as part of the corporations' annual report, as required by the government.

The full list of the Beeb's highest-paid newsreaders, sports presenters and radio stars such as Greg James, Fiona Bruce and Alan Shearer.

BBC Director-General Tim Davie faced the media on Tuesday for a scheduled briefing following the release of the corporation’s annual report.

Match of the Day presenter Gary dominates this year's salary billing as he became the top earner for the sixth year in a row.

Other high earners include the likes of fellow Match of the Day star Alan Shearer, newsreader Huw Edwards and BBC Radio 2's Zoe Ball.

Gary is living large with his salary of £1,350,000 to £1,354,999. Alan earns around £450,000 to £454,999.

Zoe, who presents the Zoe Ball Breakfast Show, earns £980,000 - £984,000, as she becomes the highest-paid radio star.

Greg James is taking home £395,000 - £399,999 with Ken Bruce and Steven Wright following closely behind with £390,000-£394,999 and £360,000 - £364,999 respectively.

Lauren Laverne rakes in a whopping £390,000 - £394,999 while Stephen Nolan takes home £400,000 - £404,999.

BBC Breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty earns between £335,000 and £339,999 while fan-favourite Louis Theroux takes home £200,000 - £204,999.

Other high earners include newsreader Amol Rajan who has a salary of £335,000 - £339,999. Huw Edwards comes out on top of the highest-paid newsreader as he earns between £435,000 - £439,999.

Sophie Raworth earns £365,000 - £369,999 while Fiona Bruce rakes in between £395,000 - £399,999.

BBC's director-general Tim Davie is earning less than sports star Gary as he takes home £525,000 - £529,000.
