Full list of bank closures coming in 2023 and 2024 - including HSBC and Barclays

Banks are disappearing from the high street as more people use online services to manage their money.

Which? suggests banks and building societies have closed, or have scheduled to close, a total of 5,838 branches since January 2015.

This works out at around 54 branches each month - and there are more coming this year and going into 2024.

HSBC said it would shutter 114 banks - around a quarter of its total sites - in 2023. So far, HSBC has not announced any closures for next year yet.

Lloyds is closing at least 107 banks in total this year and into 2024, while NatWest has 140 scheduled to shut their doors forever.

UK house prices fall again - down 3.2% from last year peak, says Nationwide

Barclays will shut 156 sites in 2023 and 2024, Halifax will shutter 62 branches this year and next, and Santander will close five.

Virgin Money is set to shut 40, while Nationwide will close two and TSB has so far announced it will shut nine sites.

Bank of Scotland is also shutting 26 branches, and RBS is closing four.

Keep in mind these are just the closures that have been announced so far.
