As beautiful as the is, with a three-figure price tag, it’s not the cheapest for those looking to update their wardrobe on a budget. But worry not, because we’ve found a strikingly similar dress at an affordable high street favourite which makes the perfect alternative.

New Look’s with shoppers saying it has the ‘quality of a designer label’. The satin pink pleated midi features a similar v-neckline and short sleeves with a wrap front and belted waist. All it’s really missing is the high-low hem - but for around , we’d be willing to overlook that detail.

Shoppers have loved the dress and say it’s great for summer, but some added that the sizes do run a bit large. One said: “This dress had the quality of a designer label but at an affordable price it was so easy to wear for the whole day and I had lots of compliments. Thank.god for New Look saved the day after lots of online ordering for an outfit.”

Another added: “Really lovely dress. Thin fabric but this is good for the warmer weather. I would say the top half was ever so slightly a looser fit on myself but the pleated skirt was perfect. I would opt down a size if purchasing.”

Available in it’s got a slightly smaller size range than the Phase Eight dress, which goes up to 26, but its fit and flare design means you can finish the look with stiletto heels for a night out or dress down with your favourite flats when heading to brunch.

The pleated dress comes in pink, just like Lorraine’s more expensive dress, as well as an emerald green shade,
