A body has now been found in the search for a missing 21-year-old Amazon worker who failed to show up to a night shift almost three weeks ago.

Upale Kaloshi from Deptford, south east London, who “never missed a day of work” was last seen on Saturday, May 21 and was reported missing the following day.

He failed to show up for work in Dartford, Kent.

But Kent Police now say that the body of a man has been discovered near Dover and pronounced dead at the scene.

Upale's devastated family were praying for his safe return after feeling completely “helpless” stating that his disappearance was completely the “opposite” from his usual character.‌

The forces says a formal identification is yet to take place but that they are not treating his death as suspicious.‌

Speaking previously to The Voice, Upale’s sister Lukundo Kaloshi said: "I think we've exhausted all we can. All we can do is pray. There's a sense of helplessness. We've left it over to the police to take control.

"Everywhere he goes he's a very likeable character. He's not irresponsible or anything. He updates everyone…he's just very level-headed. This is completely opposite from what he's normally like."

Lukundo added that her family believed Upale had gone out for the day and would return home after his night shift at 7am.

A police spokesperson said: "On Wednesday 7 June 2023, the body of a man was discovered near Dover. Officers attended and sadly the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

"Formal identification has yet to take place, but the family of a 21-year-old man from south-east London, who was reported missing on Sunday 21 May, have been informed.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner."
