Charmed actress Shannen Doherty has been met with an outpouring of love and support from her fellow stars after announcing that her cancer has spread to her brain.

The 52-year-old 90210 star first announced that she had breast cancer in 2015, with it later being revealed that she had gone into remission.

In 2019, Shannen then revealed that it had returned, with her said to have been diagnosed with stage four breast cancer.

And earlier this week, she issued a health update when she revealed that the cancer had spread to her brain when she shared a video from a radiation session she had earlier this year.

You have been such a fearless fighter your whole life, so it's understandable to be a little scared from time to time. But when those moment pass, let that indomitable Doherty spirit take over anew. I love you so much, my Mallrat."

While actress Alana K Stewart wrote: "You are a warrior, beautiful Shannen, and an inspiration to us all. God is with you on this journey, and I pray for a miraculous healing for you once and for all."

The comments were underneath the video she shared on Monday, which shows her undergoing treatment on January 12.

Mayo Clinic states that "brain metastases" occurs when cancer cells spread from their original site to the brain, with breast cancer said to be one of the types of cancer that is most likely to cause this.
