A veterinary practice has outlined a list of substances that are poisonous to dogs, with many a staple item in most households.
The TikTok video, which was uploaded by The Upper Canada Animal Hospital, has since gone viral, gaining over 75.5 million views in less than a month.
The video features members of the team each being asked the same question - “What is the one thing that is toxic to dogs?”.
Shockingly, their answers included avocados, garlic, onions and ibuprofen.
The caption urged viewers: "Be sure to do research before giving your dog new foods and contact your veterinarian if they get into something they shouldn't have."

Vets have urged dog owners to do their research before giving their pet any new kind of food (Getty Images)One surprising answer was grapes, which can have a detrimental effect on a dog’s kidneys and in some cases can lead to organ failure. Sultanas and raisins also can have the same effect.
Another, more well-known item featured in the video was chocolate, with the main ingredient cocoa containing the life-threatening compound theobromine.
A dog’s heart rate would increase if it were to ingest theobromine.
Another vet said that "gum or anything with xylitol" in it is toxic to dogs, as it can cause blood clotting and liver failure.

One person wrote: "Grapes?? I give my dog grapes all the time".
"I was unaware of the garlic and onions", another said.
Other dog owners took the opportunity to list other toxic items that were not included in the video.
One person wrote that "any moulding food can be lethal to dogs".

The Upper Canada Animal Hospital posted a second video to their TikTok page, providing further answers, including antifreeze, yeast, marijuana, rat bait and rat poison, Vitamin D, macadamia nuts and mould.
