Police probing an outbreak of football violence have released a bizarre photo of one suspect who social media users have joked is a dead ringer for Lord Voldemort.
Cops released a picture of a man they want to speak in connection with disorder before Sheffield Wednesday's clash with Plymouth Argyle in February. The ghostly figure, who has a large balding head, dark eyes and a pointed chin, was also compared to the vampire Nosferatu and Uncle Fester by online wags.
South Yorkshire Police have been inundated with more than 300 comments mocking the individual's peculiar features in the grainy image, which is pulled from CCTV. One joked: "Lord Voldemort is doing well for himself."
Another quipped: "Uncle Fester has let himself go." A third asked: "Is that human? I thought this was a post on aliens spotted until saw it was SYP that put it on."
Another user joked: "Jeeze, if that was you, you'd give yourself up to prove that you didn't look that bad." And a further user chipped in: "Thought Bronson didn't get released?"

Lord Voldemort's name means "flight of death" in French (Warner Bros.)Some on social media also criticised police for using the photo, which they said was unlikely to lead to successful identification. One wrote: "Satellites that can zoom in from space. Telescopes capable of seeing clearly to the moon.. and this is the best picture they've got."
Another said: "Come on now we can see into the universe with a good camera and South Yorkshire police are still using an old Kodak disposable camera."
A further user added ironically: "Pin sharp photography. Should have no trouble identifying the perp!"
The force appealed for help identify the man in the image, which was taken on February 4 this year before Wednesday's 1-0 victory at Hillsborough stadium.
Police said fans clashed at the turnstiles of the away end.
A spokesman said: "Football Intelligence Officers have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection to disorder following the Sheffield Wednesday vs Plymouth match in February.
"It is believed disorder occurred at the turnstiles on Leppings Lane at Hillsborough Football Stadium prior to the match starting.
"Officers are keen to speak to the man in the image as they believe he can assist with their enquiries."
