Lisa Snowdon opened up about the extent of the horrific abuse she survived at the hands of her former lovers.
The 51-year-old, who became a model at the age of 19, once turned up to a photoshoot with bruises and a black eye after one of her exes attacked her.
Another ex's abuse, from a relationship she was in when she was in her early 40s, resulted in her having a miscarriage live on air.
The star made the decision to talk about her experiences in hopes it would 'save the life of someone who is the victim of an abuser'.
In her new book, Just Getting Started, she explained that her former boyfriend, who lied about his age and was years older, kicked her so hard she broke her arm.

"Sure enough, the damage had been done and my arm was in plaster for six weeks or so," she said.

When she was a young model, she would show up to shoots bruised and battered (Getty Images)In excerpts shared with The Sun, Lisa went on to detail how she was once left unconscious after he headbutted her.
She was left with a black eye and she admitted she "will never know" how she survived that night.
"I still feel such a huge sense of anger at how anyone could do that to a young girl. I am in tears, but I mostly feel sad, for my younger self – so lost, scared and alone," Lisa said.
"I was working as a model in those days, and would turn up to work, arm in plaster, with bruises and a black eye, having to come up with the most elaborate excuses to protect him."

During an appearance on the She Loves Herself podcast in 2021, she told host Jill Ritchie: "I was in a really bad relationship at the time which began with being mentally abusive and then was physically abusive, it was like my escapism when I went into work.
"I was on these amazing shoots and it was back when they would do really dramatic makeup, so I would have my eyebrows drawn on really high, with loads of eyeshadow and the shoots were really creative, so I would go in, almost like an actress and create a different me for the day, and escape that abusive relationship."
