After two years of impressive play with the Jackson State Tigers, Shedeur Sanders has made the big step up to play for the Colorado Buffaloes.

The quarterback has thrown 70 touchdowns to just 14 interceptions and has impressed a number of scouts with his work over the past few years, as well as looking solid in the recent spring games.

Sanders made his transfer official after his father and former head coach at JSU also made the move, NFL legend Deion Sanders who is seen as one of the more exciting coaches at the collegiate level.

After being the JSU head coach for two-and-a-half years, Sanders Sr. took the team from having a losing culture to winning their first conference title in 14 years, before winning again the following season.

Arguably one of the greatest cornerbacks in NFL history, Sanders reportedly had offers to join other big-name schools, but chose Colorado and bringing a number of players from Jackson State along with him - including his son, star quarterback Shedeur.

The head coach and quarterback duo helped lead the school to back-to-back conference titles and the two are expected to impress and improve a revamped Colorado - who have struggled in recent years and have given Sanders senior the remit to overhaul the playing roster.

After playing in a recent off-season training game with the Buffaloes and greatly impressing, video emerged of Sanders showing off his impressive arm at practice from this weekend.

It's a big step from JSU to Colorado, but should he impress he could legitimately be in with shot to be drafted in the early rounds of next year's already enticing NFL Draft.

While Sanders name will ensure headlines, he is unlikely to be drafted higher than two other prospects, with Caleb Williams (USC) and Drake Maye (UNC) seen as generational quarterbacks who will be available in the 2024 class.

Quinn Ewers (Texas), Michael Penix Jr (Washington) and Bo Nix at Oregon are seen as quarterbacks with first-round potential - while a host of other quarterbacks are likely to emerge from this upcoming season.
