Deion Sanders has become one of the more exciting coaching prospects in collegiate sports after his impressive spell with Jackson State University, but he hasn't stopped speaking his mind, as he proved after the NFL Draft.

In his two-and-a-half years, he took the team from having a losing culture to winning their first conference title in 14 years, before winning again the following season. Sanders had a number of offers to leave to join a bigger school, and eventually did so, joining the Colorado Buffaloes this past off-season - bringing a number of players from Jackson State along with him - including his son, star quarterback Shadeur Sanders.

This past weekend, a number of his players from JSU became eligible to be drafted into the NFL - including Isaiah Land, Aubrey Miller and Mark Evans.

But only one player, defensive back Isaiah Bolden, was drafted - with Bolden being selected by the New England Patriots in the seventh round. Seeing a number of his players go undrafted had angered the NFL legend, who has hit out at the team for failing to draft his players.

On Twitter, Sanders said: "So proud is you Isaiah Bolden. You deserved to be drafted much higher but I'm truly proud of u. I know how much u want this.

"I'm ashamed of the 31 other NFL teams that couldn't find draft value in ALL of the talented HBCU players & we had 3 more draft worthy players at JSU."

Those players not drafted will now hope to be picked up as undrafted free agents, with Miller already joining the Miami Dolphins, Land going to the Dallas Cowboys and Evans signing for the New Orleans Saints.

After leading JSU to back-to-back conference titles, Sanders moved on to Colorado this past summer - where he has already let go of over 40 players ahead of the new season. Sanders' son, quarterback Shadeur, could potentially be a first-round pick in next year's NFL Draft, if he continues to show the form he had done with JSU.

The 21-year-old has thrown 70 touchdowns to just 14 interceptions and has impressed a number of scouts with his work over the past few years, as well as looking solid in the recent spring games.

However, he is unlikely to be drafted higher than two other prospects, with Caleb Williams (USC) and Drake Maye (UNC) seen as generational quarterbacks who will be available in the 2024 class.
