Odell Beckham Jr. has strongly denied assault allegations after claims he was named in an investigation.

The NFL superstar - who recently signed an $18million contract with the Baltimore Ravens - has been accused of assaulting a woman in an undisclosed Los Angeles hotspot,

The incident is said to have occurred in Delilah, LA, several weeks ago, although the owner of the establishment has also rubbished reports. Beckham Jr.’s spokesperson told TMZ that they haven't been contacted by police, are unaware of any investigation and nevertheless, vehemently deny any accusation of wrongdoing.

The owner of the venue said he had been in contact with law enforcement, but made it clear he felt the accusation was incorrect. “We were contacted about an investigation and reviewed the videos, the claim is false,” he said.

“There is no evidence of this person even being in the area where she claims the incident occurred.”

The allegations come just days after the former first-round pick was signed to a lucrative new deal with the Ravens, having missed the entirety of last season recovering from injury. The 30-year-old last appeared on an NFL field in Super Bowl LVI, where he was on his way to a potential MVP award before suffering a torn ACL.

The ex-New York Giants receiver then spent much of last season deliberating over his next move, completing a parade of teams including his former side. However, it wasn’t until earlier this offseason that his future was secured, signing with the Ravens on a one-year deal.

"This is a team that has great talent all across the board – offensive line, running backs, receiving room, defence is great," Beckham said at his introductory press conference in Baltimore.

"It boiled down to, I'm at a place in my life where it means a lot more to be wanted. They showed that they wanted me to be here. Not to say that no one else did, but they believed in me. I'm going to come here and put my best foot forward every day."

Ravens General Manager Eric DeCosta added that he was confident his team’s new star wideout was back to his best, following a second serious knee injury in the last three years.

"We saw everything we needed to see, knowing that it's going to just improve," DeCosta explained. "When a guy has a serious injury, in general, it only gets better. It may take time. Sometimes it takes longer, but it only gets better."

"What we saw was extremely encouraging and I can't wait to see the progression from March to April to May to September," he added. "That's probably the thing that we're most excited about. We're getting somebody who is ready to explode again. And he's in the right environment with the right quarterback, with the right team, in the right city. It's the perfect player at the perfect time."
