Coronation Street star Colson Smith revealed he was recently diagnosed with a skin condition.
The soap actor, who is known for his role as Craig Tinker, opened up about having chronic idiopathic urticaria since the start of this year.
The condition, also known as chronic hives, are itchy, raised, red bumps or welts that show up on the skin at least twice per week.
He explained how it essentially 'happens for no reason' and could be an allergy to a lot of things.
However, he's hoping it doesn't have anything to do with his favourite foods - Nando's or Haribo Tangfastics.
Corrie's Sue Cleaver says I'm A Celebrity stint helped her to push boundariesSpeaking on the Sofa Cinema Club podcast, he said: "It only annoys me when it’s on my face. It’s a bit disheartening when it’s on your face."
The star went on to explain how he had a reaction a few hours before appearing on This Morning with his Coronation Street co-star Jack P Shepherd.
Jack was the one who said he believes that Colson's outbreaks are caused by his favourite foods.
Due to the outbreaks, he has been wearing long sleeve shirts to cover it up.
He has been given drugs to keep the skin condition under control but was still worried it would be obvious on TV.
Last year, Colson opened up about his weight struggles and how he had to wear 20XL-sized clothes as a teenager.
The star revealed he relied on a specific online retailer for clothes.
During the first coronavirus lockdown, he completely changed his diet and lifestyle and lost 10 stone.
Colson explained on the same podcast that 'nothing' would fit him so he focused his adventurous side on shoes.
"Then being probably 18/19 I started to really enjoy like a pair of shoes, it was mainly shoes because I was too fat to wear clothes, nothing fit...whatever ASOS did in 20 XL and then shoes... anyone can fit into shoes," he said.
Sue Cleaver feels 'more empowered' as she labels her 50s her 'happiest decade'The star also reminisced about his childhood and how Henry VIII was the first-ever role he had when he was eight years old.
"Each school form would take on the assembly, it was my class turn to run the assembly and we did a show about Henry VIII and I was Henry VIII and I was f******g mint," Colson said.
"It was that good we had to put the assembly on for the parents. It was at that moment that I wanted to be an actor and started showing interest in it."
