Christine McGuinness has credited a trip to London with Helen Flanagan for helping to improve her social skills.

The TV personality, 35, and former soap star, 32, headed down to the capital where they met up with each other.

The mum of three enjoyed spending time with her celeb pals in the city as she went out for a meal with singer and theatre star Duncan James.

Taking to her Instagram story, the Real Housewives of Cheshire star later posted a picture of herself and Coronation Street's Helen cuddling up on a sofa.

Helen wore her blonde locks up as she kept it casual in a pink sweatshirt and matching jogging bottoms.

"My girl @hjflanagan," she wrote alongside the image. "So lovely to see you," she added with a red heart.

The Rosie Webster actress then shared a video of Christine appearing slightly shy as she smiled with the camera on her.

"Look who I bumped into," Helen wrote alongside the sweet clip.

"Not normal how beautiful you are @mrscmcguinness."

Christine was then quick to reshare the post and said: "Love you @hjflanagan," with a face holding back tears emoji.

She also posted a collection of photos to her page of her trip to London.

"My social skills these last two days have levelled up. London is always a good idea," Christine wrote alongside her snaps.

Christine's London trip didn't come without its drama though, as she dubbed herself a 'lazy b***h' following an awkward hotel room blunder.

She admitted: "So I've just got to London and checked into my hotel and the lady on reception gave me a keycard and told me what floor I was on but didn't say what room.

"I'd already got in the lift and gone up to the floor and thought, 'I'm not going back down now' so I just walked around the floor, checking every single door with my key card until one opened like a proper lazy b***h."

Christine added: "With one of the rooms, I put my key in the door and obviously there was a fella in there who heard me trying to open his door.

"He came out and was like, 'Do you want me to help you find your room?' I'm fine now - I'm in!"
