England ramped up their preparations for the Women's World Cup tonight after beating Brazil in the first ever Women's Finalissima at a sold-out Wembley Stadium.

The Lionesses made it 30 games unbeaten under manager Sarina Wiegman but faced stern competition from the Copa America champions, who are currently ranked ninth in the world. Wiegman has already led England to plenty of silverware, having overseen last year's Euros triumph as well as back-to-back successes in the Arnold Clark Cup.

And the Dutchwoman has added another trophy to the cabinet ahead of this summer's showpiece event in Australia and New Zealand, where the Lionesses will bid to become World Champions for the first time in their history.

It was a tale of two halves after England dominated the first 45, but Brazil came out fighting in the second half scoring the equaliser in the dying minutes of normal time. England's Chloe Kelly scored the winning penalty to give them the title of winning the first ever women's Finalissima.

On the performance, she said: "Second half we werent best pleased with our performance but I think to win on a penalty shootout at Wembley again, it's not too bad is it.

Katie Shanahan said the team is collecting trophies for fun, and Leah's said "it might be time to get a trophy cabinet."

We think so too Leah...

England changes

Lauren James makes way for Chloe Kelly, Alessia Russo off for Rachel Daly. Greenwood also okay to continue.

Concern for England

Alex Greenwood is down and receiving treatment. The stretcher is out but she's sat up, hopefully it won't be needed.

Chance for Brazil!

Greenwood is under pressure and her pass back to the goalkeeper was picked up by Geyse, who looked to put a cross in. Williamson was there to clear, but another scare at the back for England.

England starting to see more of the ball and Stanway forces a save. Much better from England after a slow start.

Analysis - 60 mins

Brazil look like a completely different beast in the second half.

The Selecao have pinned England back in their own half and would be level were it not thanks to an excellent stop from Mary Earps from Geyse's drive.

This one is not over yet.

HUGE save!

England far too casual again and Geyse gets a shot away. It looks bound for the top corner but Earps makes a finger tip save!

England 1-0 Brazil

Brazil looking more threatening

After a rather disappointing first half, Brazil are starting to cause England problems. Kerolin has just fired an effort marginally wide, but it looked like Mary Earps had it covered.

England have to be careful not to be too casual with their play, they've gifted their opponents a few chances already this half.

England 1-0 Brazil

Brazil make two substitutions

Just ahead of the second half, Brazil made two subtitutions.
