Coronation Street star Erin Austen has teased some "incredible twists" in the acid attack storyline amid fan theories.
Actress Erin plays Crystal, a DJ from Ibiza in the ITV soap, who had her heart set on Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) after the pair shared their love of DJ-ing with one another. However, things took a turn when Ryan became an unlikely victim in a devastating acid attack as Ryan was hit by the corrosive liquid trying to protect his friend Daisy.
Stalker Justin had targeted Daisy for weeks, convinced they should be together and planned to use the liquid to disfigure her on her wedding day to Daniel Osbourne so he could have her all to himself.
Daisy was targeted by Justin on her wedding day (ITV)Ryan, understandably, has been struggling with the long lasting effects of the acid attack and has cooled things off with Erin, with some fans convinced the storyline will spark a romance between Ryan and Daisy.
Eagle eyed fans were sure they spotted a clue the pair will get together in scenes that aired last week, as Ryan refused to see anyone else as he began to recover from the physical and emotional scars of what happened.

Racked with guilt, Daisy sat with him and tried to make him laugh and bring some light to his day - but fans are convinced their bond could spark a new romance for the pair, despite all of this happening on Daisy's wedding day to Daniel.
"I think a relationship is going to occur," one wrote, whilst another added: "Daisy & Daniel sorry it’s a no go there! Right from the start it’s been a shambles, Not meant to be , As for Daisy & Ryan they will help each other through this …. Fall in love again!"
Ryan was hit by the corrosive liquid (ITV)A third viewer shared: "I sense Daisy will have a lot of guilt with this. A lot. I also hope it brings them closer. Daisy is deserving of a man who treats her kindly and with respect. No disrespect to the character of Daniel, but he has not been the kindest/most charming/supportive to Daisy during their romance."
Actress Erin has now teased some huge twists coming their way on the ITV soap.
Teasing what's to come for her character and Ryan amid the acid attack storyline, she told the Liverpool Echo: "You’ll have to keep watching and trust me when I say there are some incredible twists coming up."
Erin also spoke of what it was like working with the long-running show's cast and crew, adding: "Everyone from the security guards, catering staff and every single cast member made me feel so welcome. They are genuinely the nicest bunch of people I have ever met. The cast and crew are so committed, so talented - it is like a slick well oiled machine."
