As we hurtle towards the game's release in May, Nintendo is serving up a fresh batch of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom gameplay hosted by series producer, Eiji Aonuma, in a not-quite-Nintendo-Direct.

Update [28/03/23]: A Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo Switch OLED has been announced alongside new gameplay

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom release is set for this May, and despite being less than two months from launch, we've not seen a great deal of gameplay so far. It's been just the four trailers, in fact, with the most recent one debuting during the February Nintendo Direct. With around six minutes of Tears of the Kingdom gameplay released at this point, suffice it to say we're champing at the bit for more.

While not an official Nintendo Direct, todays Tears of the Kingdom gameplay showcases will offer up around 10-minutes of gameplay, and is hosted by series producer, Eiji Aonuma. How much he'll delve into the story and gameplay remains to be seen, but we have a laundry list of questions we want answered, like can we play as Zelda? Are there two Links? What's the timeline in relation to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild?

Given how close we are to the Tears of the Kingdom May release date of May 12, we're still largely in the dark about a ton of things, which makes for a refres hing change from the norm. Will Nintendo shed some light on our unanswered questions today? We'll have to tune in to find out.

How to watch Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom gameplay Nintendo Direct

Announced in a tweet, the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo Direct is set to broadcast on the Nintendo YouTube channel at 3pm BST / 10am EST / 7am PST. It's a pre-recorded affair rather than a livestream so you can hop over there to watch the gameplay at your leisure anytime from then onwards. We'll embed the video as soon as it's live, for your convenience.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom pre-orders are already live along with pre-orders for the Tears of the Kingdom amiibo, which will unlock all kinds of fun in-game items, including different designs for Link's paraglider. But we may see the announcement of the rumoured Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo Switch OLED; with purported images of the console doing the rounds for a while now, let's hope this gets put to rest today so we can stop daydreaming about it or start saving to splurge when it launches.

US fans are already having to spend a little extra thanks to the Tears of the Kingdom price increase so it'll be fair warning at least so you can budget in advance.
