Charlotte Crosby broke down in tears while talking about her mum's battle with cancer in a teaser clip from her new BBC Three series.

The Geordie Shore alum, 32, took to social media on Wednesday to share the emotional scenes which showed her talk about her mum's diagnosis.

Charlotte initially told her fans the devastating news about mum Letitia, 53, last year after she was given a breast cancer diagnosis following a routine check up. She has since undergone chemotherapy.

In the clip from the series, which Charlotte posted on her Instagram as well as he Story, the reality TV star can be seen sobbing as she tells pal Lauren her mum's got breast cancer.

Lauren can be heard saying: "Oh, no no no, don't cry," before comforting her friend.

"She's a mess," Charlotte said. "It's hit us like a tonne of bricks. She only went for a routine mammogram, there were no signs and no symptoms.

"The diagnosis has been a massive shock."

Fans of the show took to the comments section to praise the star for being so open about events. Celebs Go Dating's Anna Williamson was among them, writing: "Bless you," followed by love heart emojis.

And another of her followers emotionally penned: "Exactly how my mum found out. We celebrate 6 years on the 14th since she rang the bell for the end of her treatment. She’s cancer free to this day. Sending love hugs and support to you all xxx"

It was revealed in August last year that Letitia had the disease and she said it was her mammogram that "saved her life" as she previously had no symptoms to worry about.

Letitia said at the time: "I had no symptoms, no lumps, nothing. The mammogram has helped save my life.

"They should be inviting women of all ages to one every single year. Not just women over 50."

She has since undergone a number of biopsies and scans on the 11-millimetre tumour.

In the series, Charlotte also showcases the birth of baby daughter Alba and has since gone on record to say she's ready to have another child.

Charlotte revealed last month that she and partner Jake Ankers already want another baby 10 weeks after welcoming their little one to the world.
