The final series of Geordie Shore will not feature legendary stars Scotty T and Marty McKenna.
MTV bosses are said to have not asked the two reality TV stars back to appear in the show's swan song, which is currently being filmed, due to their past behaviour.
Insiders claim Marty's stint on Celebs Go Dating last year raised a few eyebrows with Geordie Shore bosses, while producers feel Scotty too much of a wild child to suit the new family vibe of the show.
Last month MTV hit back at claims Geordie Shore was being axed completely - insisting another season was in the works and promising fans some exciting scenes.
But it's widely believed the upcoming season will be the final to air for a while and the format will be rested.

Marty McKenna sparked outrage on Celebs Go Dating with his views about women (Channel 4)Fans hoping to see the likes of Scotty and Marty 'getting mortal' one final time will be disappointed to learn the boys have been snubbed by the show that made them both household names.
"Marty wasn't asked back as he didn't behave well while filming Celebs Go Dating last year, which is made by the same production company that makes Geordie Shore," a TV insider claims.
"Bosses weren't impressed by his antics, so decided not to invite him back after the reunion."
Scotty is still too much of a party boy, according to a TV insider (WireImage)Speaking to The Sun, the source goes on to state that despite returning for a reunion series, Scotty is too much of "a wild child and a party boy" in the eyes of the producers.
"That doesn't really fit with the show's new direction, which will have more of a grown-up, family vibe as a lot of the cast have kids now," they add, before explaining how the new series will see some stars bring their children on a big group holiday so it won't be like the "crazy days of old".
On February 17, reports emerged that MTV had allegedly decided to call time on the fan favourite reality show, inspired by its American counterpart Jersey Shore.
According to a show source, the already commissioned series will still go ahead with a reunion planned for later this summer.

An official MTV spokesperson told The Mirror: "Geordie Shore has not been cancelled and continues to be one of MTV’s biggest shows. We can't wait for fans to see what we have in store next season."
Geordie Shore first aired in 2011 and has been a hit with viewers ever since.

At its peak, the MTV reality series was watched regularly by over 1 million people per episode.
However, in recent years ratings have fallen to just over 100,000.
The original cast included Charlotte, Vicky, Gary 'Gaz' Beadle, Jay Gardner, Holly Hagan, James Tindale, Greg Lake and Sophie Kasaei.
