Horrifying footage shows the moment a husband throws his wife off a ferry as fellow passengers look on in shock.
The ferry was going through the Sunda Strait in Indonesia when a man on board hearing "whispers" suddenly picked up his wife as she was packing her bag and carried her to the edge.
Luckily, the woman was able to cling to the vessel and avoid falling into the watery depths below as people rushed to her aid.
The sickening 40-second clip released by police on February 24 shows the man lurking nearby before attempting the awful act.

The woman was saved after clinging to the barrier and getting help from people nearby while her husband simply watched on nearby.
The man heard 'whispers' telling him to do it, he claimed (Newsflare)The man is reported to have been going through severe emotional problems and heard "whispers" that told him to try and commit the act.
Ridho Rafika, head of the Bakauheni Port Police Sector, said: "The perpetrator was suspected to be depressed because his reason was that he wanted to throw the victim into the sea, he heard a voice telling him to do that."
South Lampung Police Chief, known as AKBP Edwin, added: "Thank God his wife is safe."
Local reports indicate the incident is still being handled by South Lampung police.

The incident occurred on a journey run by Shalem ferries between the port of Merak on the northwestern tip of the island of Java and the arbour city of Bakauheni.
The journey the couple were on links the islands of Bali and Sumatra and there was a plan to connect the two with an 18-mile bridge to reduce the reliance on ferries for travelling between the two.
First planned in the 1960s, local reports indicate the 'Sundra Strait Bridge' idea was shelved in 2014 by President Joko Widodo.
